Som ni kanske har hört eller läst att DJ AM gick bort i fredags natt svensk tid och man tror att det är en överdos. För snart ett år sedan var han och Travis Barker (trummis från Blink 182) med om en flygolycka där alla som var ombord dog utom Travis och DJ AM. Detta hände den 8 September förra året. Detta är vad DJ AM skrev på sin blog 30 December 2008 (vilket var ett av de sissta blogg inlägget han gjorde)
Daily I live with the guilt and grief of what happened that night, what I saw, who was lost and why I was spared. I have no words to express the pain that comes with knowing four people died, while I lived.

Nu när det närmar sig dagen då tragedin hände kanske det blev för mycket. Några spekulerar om att det är uppbrottet mellan han och hans flickvän som fick honom att somna in.
Travis Barker: ”Don’t know how i am gonna play 2night but i am for AM. My brother is gone.i love u and miss u, i’ll never forget all the good times we had. I’ll never forget everything we’ve been thru and every time i play the drums i’ll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/human being.
Rest In Peace my brother, this really fucks me up.”
Brent Bolthouse: ”I’m so sad about DJ AM today could be the sadest day of my life, he was my little brother, my family, he was a light in this dark world

Mandy Moore: ”I am absolutely heartbroken. For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend. To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones”
